The historic Caffé del Tasso in Piazza Vecchia has been carefully restored.
The establishment opened in 1476 with the name “Locanda delle due Spade” (Two swords Inn), and only later, in 1681, did it become known as the “Caffé del Tasso”. In 2001, it celebrated 525 years of history. The current bar is the result of the correct balance of new ideas, a respect for the long history of the place and a flexible, easy-going environment, in keeping with the ideals of the Menalli family who have run the café since the end of the 80s, together with an elegant atmosphere and the excellent quality of the products served, selected with special care.
