The Duomo
Started in 1459 from the design of Filerete, the Duomo went through a series
of long and difficult periods: in 1688 it was altered by Carlo Fontana and
only finished in 1886, alterations were made to the dome and the façade
was covered in white marble. The interior has only one nave with a Latin cross
plan, decorated in a rich and elegant style by Francesco Domenighini, under
the direction of Elia Fornoni.
